Holy grail body lotion.

I've never been one to care about moisturizing my body. But I've always applied lotion after showers just because I thought I should. I never consistently used a body lotion, and never felt any difference in my skin.
But now I've found something that I have repurchased, and will continue to repurchase. I love the Dove visible effects body lotion.

First off, this smells AMAZING. If they made a purfume in this scent, I would buy it. It smells very clean and fresh.
It also leaves my skin feeling plump and moisturized for over 24 hours.
I love applying this, and it makes my dry skin feel hydrated.

Cream Blush Brush.

I have been a lover of cream blush for a long while. I love the natural glowy finish that it gives.
But I had been applying it with my fingers, simply because I couldn't find a brush that applied it the way I liked. Applying cream blush with fingers is fine, but I sometimes find that it can get patchy or wipe away my foundation.
But this brush has chaged everything.

This is the Real Techniques Stippling Brush.
I love everything about it.
The density of this brush is perfection.
The white bristles pick up the perfect amount of product, while the black bristles blend it out flawlessly.
I even love the thickness of this brush (despite that it's a hassle to pack in my kit for clients), it has a nice weight and feels nice in my hands.
And the long ferril makes this brush so easy to clean without worrying too much about getting water into it.

I love this brush.

Moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.

Guys, I have found something that makes my hair very, very happy.

I usually have very dry and frizzy hair.
This I am shampoo and conditioner makes my hair SO soft and shiney. It makes me dry hair feel moisturized and healthy.
For the first time I can wear my natural hair texture (and use no heat!) without my hair becoming a big frizzy mess throughout the day. My hair stays smooth and soft all day.
Even when it's humid!
And it smells AMAZING.
But the best part is that these only cost about 3 CHF each.
I will definately be repurchacing this duo over and over.

Tea Tree Oil - My new best friend.

For the past two months, I have been mixing in 4 drops of tea tree oil with my facial moisturizer morning and night.
AND IT HAS CHANGED MY SKIN DRAMITICALLY.

This little bottle of miracles has cleared up 90% of my breakouts. And now I cannot live without it.

(I still get hormonal breakouts, but I don't think anything could stop those little devils from coming.)

I highly recommend you try this.

Lash glue war.

I feel like I've tried (struggled with) every lash glue on the market.
I seemed to have a problem with every one. Too watery, too difficult to get onto the lashes, never gets tacky...there was always something to complain about.
But I've finally found the perfect lash glue for me. And now I can wear lashes whenever da heck I want.

This beauty is the Revlon Precision Lash
Adhesive. 'The one.'
Pros:
-Drugstore (great price AND easy to find!)
-Dries clear (also comes in a dark formula)
-Easy brush application
-Gets tacky quickly
-Stays in place all day

Cons:
-After a few months, some dried up glue collects around the opening

What lash glue do you love?

Liquid liner - Subtle Color.

My newest love affair is with liquid liner.
Since I have discovered the KIKO liners, I have been loving using different colors for my cat winged liner.
What I love about the KIKO liners, is that they are still deep and subtle colors that can be suitable for everyday, while adding something extra to an eye look.
These have a gorgeous metallic finish and amazing staying powder.
They don't smudge AT ALL.
I highly recommend these.
I will definately be buying more colors.

Lashes for all occasions.

In my opinion, every woman needs to have a pair of half lashes on hand at all times. I consider them to be my 'secret weapon'. They give a dramatic look to the eyes, without the obvious over-the-top false lash look. They are the easiest lashes to apply, and keep in place all day (or night). I love these for all occasions, I love them for myself and my clients. All you need is a good lash glue, and these lashes can be popped on in minutes.

My two favorite pairs are the ardelle #301 and #318. I even wore #301 on my wedding day. I can't recommed these enough.

Best Autumn Drugstore Blushes.

This time last year, I wouldn't touch blush. I was too afraid of over-applying it and honestly, I had no idea where to put it.This year, however, I am a blush fanatic. The amount of blushes (and even blush brushes) that I own is pretty over the top. That being said, I've simply tried a lot of blushes. So I wanna share with you my favorites (from the drugstore) for autumn.

My first pick is the Catrice Blush tint in the shade 010 Rose Flush. This is a dupe of the Benefit Bene Tint.
This is very easy to use and apply.
It gives the appearance of a natural flush from within.
This blush is nearly impossible to over apply. And it even looks lovely layered over other blushes.

One of my favorite blushes (possibly of all time) is in this Sleek Blush by 3 palette in Pink Sprint.
The shade is called Pinktini (on the very left).
Stop for a second. I know how intimidating this blush looks. In fact, this blush is very easy to over do. It's just as pigmented as it is bright.
But if you dip your brush in as gently as possible, and blend like crazy, this blush gives the most beautiful "Snow White" flush.

This next blush is a cream blush by Manhattan in the shade 01 Tulipster (from the Pastel Pretties collection).
Now that it's colder outside, I find my skin lacking in luster. I like using cream blush when my skin needs some glow and life added back into it.
I love this color because it complimemts any eye look or lip color.

This blush is from Misslyn in the shade Spicy Cinnamon. Not only is the shade name perfect for autumn, but the color is gorgeous. This is so easy to blend out evenly and get the perfect color payoff.
This is one of those perfect deep blush shades that give a bronze glow to the cheeks, giving you the option to skip the bronzer and get away with it.

This last blush is from Essence in the shade 30 Secret It-Girl.
I love this entire range, but this one in particular is a pretty matte peach tone. This color looks great on everyone with light skin tones. It's so easy to slap on in the morning and know it's going to look great all day long.

What blushes are you loving for autumn?

The search is over - The perfect vampy lip liner!

For the past few weeks I have been on the hunt for a VERY dark purple lip liner. And I literally feel like I've tried them all. But none of them had the correct shade of purple, or the intensity that I was searching for.
But I've finally found it!

This lip liner is GORGEOUS and eye catching. It may not be wearable for everyday, but it is something that I always want to have in my collection.
And the best part-- It's drugstore!
This is the Manhattan lip liner in the color 94f.
This color is so beautiful and I'm so happy to have finally found it.

Aside from the color, this lip liner is an amazing texture. It is extremely pigmented and long lasting. It has a matte finish, without being drying. And it has a very creamy and waxy texture, without any tugging on the lips during application.

Highlight love.

My current favorite step in my makeup routine, is applying my highlight. It's such a subtle step, but it adds such a beautiful and refreshed glow to the skin.
My favorite places to apply highlight:
-brow bone
-top of the cheek bones
-inner corner of the eyes
-cupids bow
-center of the eyelid
-whatever is left on the brush, I dust down the bridge of my nose and the center of my chin and forehead.
My current favorite powder highlight is the essence Metal Glam highlight powder. The moment I saw a swatch of this powder, I started my search for it. This is a limited edition product, so I highly reccomend that you grab this one quick. I love it so much, that I am on the hunt for a backup.

New beginnings.

Hello beauties!
After much consideration, I have decided to switch my blog over from tumblr (alyaesch1.tumblr.com) to blogspot. Because honestly, I just like it much better.

So welcome to any new followers, and welcome to any old followers.

My blog will consist of mostly beauty bits, anything I feel like writing about really. It will be an extention of my YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/alyaesch) where I also usually talk about beauty and products.

I am an american makeup artist living in Zürich Switzerland.

Enjoy.
